Inna Jackson is an SVP & Associate General Counsel, serving as the Regional Legal Head for North America, GLCM at HSBC. In this role, Inna leads a team supporting the liquidity, payments and cash management products and services offered to HSBC’s Global Banking and Commercial Banking customers. Prior to joining HSBC in mid-October 2019, Inna spent 9 years at American Express, most recently as member of the Digital and Data Partnerships legal group. In that role, Inna led a key team that supported the launch and expansion of numerous strategic partnerships with Apple, Google, Amazon, Facebook and PayPal and served as a key thought leader and contributor in the development and evolution of Amex’s data strategy framework. Prior to Amex, Inna spent 7 years in private practice as an M&A lawyer. Inna continues to be passionate about evolution of banking, changing role of FinTechs globally and developments in the payments, privacy and data space.
Joy Russell is the Vice President of External Affairs within the Access and External Affairs Department. External Affairs comprises 5 departments: Issue Advocacy, Patient Advocacy Relations, Patient Focused Giving, State and Local Government Affairs, Strategic Alliances and External Affairs Operations.
Joy began her career at Roche in 2002 as a Mid-Atlantic State Government Affairs manager where she continued to grow with Genentech over the years holding many leadership roles revolving around her area of expertise, Government Affairs.
Previously, Joy was a Senior Lobbyist and Pennsylvania consultant at Greenlee Partners. Her state based lobbying expertise was focused on non-profit organizations, healthcare corporations and human service clients.
Joy lives in the sweetest place on Earth, Hershey, Pennsylvania with her husband, Rick and two boys, Sam (11) and Cooper (9). Their latest joint venture is investing and opening the Englewood Barn which is a live music venue, brewery and restaurant amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nikki Lewis Simon, a commercial litigator with more than 21 years of experience, primarily serves as the firm’s Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer. In this capacity, Nikki designs and guides strategic initiatives and programs to deepen firmwide diversity and inclusion efforts that further enrich client engagements and community investments.

Christine J Chao is the General Counsel of The Foremost Group, an international shipping company where she provides general corporate legal advice. Christine has extensive corporate and commercial law experience having worked in senior legal positions for three Fortune 100 companies: GE (Stamford, CT), Federal Express (Hong Kong and London) and Ultramar Corporation (Greenwich, CT). Christine began her legal career with the Wall Street law firm of Dewey Ballantine.
Christine lived abroad for nearly ten years – five years in Asia and five years in Europe before repatriating to Greenwich, CT.
Christine currently serves as a Trustee for Colgate University and the Foremost Foundation, which strives to help young people access higher education and greater opportunities generally. Christine also serves on the Boards of LitWorld, an organization devoted to promoting literacy around the world, and The One Love Foundation, which is committed to educating our young people about healthy and unhealthy relationships.
Christine received her BA from Colgate University, majoring in English and her JD from Columbia Law School. She is married to Jos Shaver, and they have two sons, Ben (Babson ’22) and Tyler (Stanford ’22).
Tibby is currently General Counsel for Navisite, LLC, a remote database management company with offices in the US, India, and in the UK. Tibby works on all commercial contract and corporate matters, including M&A, corporate governance and compliance, pending litigation, and more. She manages a team in India and in the US. Prior to joining Navisite, Tibby was Corporate Counsel and Corporate Secretary at CiBO Technologies in Cambridge, MA, an ag-tech start-up. She started her career in the Corporate Finance department at a large law firm in New York, Bryan Cave, before spending several years in legal higher ed. Tibby recently went back into a practicing role, which brought her to the conference last year.
Jane leads the Enterprise Commercial team at Uber which supports commercial, real estate and marketing initiatives across the company. Prior to taking on this role, she led the legal team that supports Uber’s various advertising and marketing activities -- from brand campaigns, social impact initiatives, sponsorships and promotions to rider/driver communications and social media. Before Uber, Jane served as Citigroup’s Chief Advertising Counsel, where she led the legal team that counseled Citi’s global consumer marketing and corporate sponsorship groups, as well as the US cards, mortgage, retail bank and personal wealth management marketing teams. In prior roles at Citi, she provided legal support for the company’s rewards and cards advertising teams.
Jane started her career as an associate in the competition and intellectual property/media law practice groups at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. She previously served as the general counsel at FAIR Health, Inc., a not-for-profit organization, and as an associate in the advertising, marketing and media law practice group at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP. Jane was a James Kent Scholar at Columbia Law School and graduated with honors from Wesleyan University.
In addition to her work at Uber, Jane is a member of the Beacon Giving Group, a grant-making community of women that makes grants to smallish not-for-profits in New York City.
LaTanya Langley serves as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at BIC®, one of the best known international brands in writing instruments, lighters, shavers and other promotional products based in the Greater New York area. Ms. Langley has global responsibility for managing all legal matters for BIC’s largest business unit, Supply Chain and leads Anti-Corruption compliance. She also is currently responsible for legal matters in North America and Latin America and was previously responsible for legal matters in Africa, Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Prior to joining BIC® in October 2015, Ms. Langley held several positions at Diageo PLC, a global leader in beverage alcohol with iconic brands in spirits, beer and wine, including Director and Senior Counsel of Diageo North America, General Counsel of Diageo Guinness USA and General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Guinness Ghana Breweries Ltd. based in Accra, Ghana.
Ms. Langley joined Diageo in 2008 following positions as an Associate at Shipman & Goodwin’s Corporate Department, Weil, Gotshal & Manges’ Business Finance and Restructuring department and Paul Hastings’ Corporate department.
Ms. Langley is a member of the New York and Connecticut Bars and the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. Ms. Langley received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and doctor of laws, honoris causa from Trinity College, where she serves on the Board of Fellows and received her juris doctor degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
Ms. Watson is the President and Managing Shareholder of the Firm. She has been litigating asbestos matters since 1999, and joined our firm in 2000. She handles general insurance defense, asbestos and toxic tort litigation, products liability and premises liability matters. She is part of the National Coordinating Counsel Team for a supplier of asbestos- containing products and in her role she oversees all aspects of those matters .
Due to the strong profile she has developed in the asbestos litigation community, Ms. Watson serves on the sub-committee for asbestos cases that manages all cases pending in Western Pennsylvania and determines the expert witnesses to be retained by the joint defense group. She also serves on the defense liaison committee that regularly meets with the judges handling the asbestos docket to discuss amendments to the case management order.
Ms. Watson regularly defends suppliers, equipment manufacturers, contractors and employers in asbestos related matters in Pennsylvania. She oversees all cases handled by our Pittsburgh office, as well as handling all negotiations on behalf of our clients there. In addition to her trial experience, she is actively involved in working with insurers and clients to determine baseline discovery to be used nationally in the defense of asbestos related lawsuits. She has an active trial docket and has tried several asbestos cases to verdict in Allegheny County.
Ms. Cicali is Vice President, Assistant General Counsel at Ricoh USA, Inc. In this position, Ms. Cicali leads the Corporate and Transactional team in Ricoh’s Legal Department, which is comprised of approximately 14 attorneys and contract management professionals. With approximately 20 years in the legal profession, she was most recently General Counsel for Canada and Assistant General Counsel for Axalta Coating Systems, LLC.She earned her J.D. from Temple University, Beasley School of Law, in 2009.
Ms. Cicali lives in Chester County with her husband and five children. She enjoys volunteering in her spare time with her family.
Nicole Pérez-Lengel is a Member in the Philadelphia office of Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg LLC. She focuses her practice on the areas of premises liability, products liability, municipal law and motor vehicle liability. Nicole regularly defends retail, restaurant and municipal clients, as well as premises owners and product manufacturers, against claims filed in state and federal courts throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as other states across the country via pro hac vice admission.
Nicole graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2004 with a B.A. in International Politics and a Minor in International Studies. While at Penn State, Nicole served on the Communications Committee of the Penn State Pan-Hellenic Dance Marathon (THON), where she and her fellow students and alumni helped to raise over $3.5 Million for the Four Diamonds Fund for cancer research. Nicole was also the recipient of the Burton-Waller Academic Scholarship.
After Penn State, Nicole attended Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law, where she graduated with her J.D. in 2007 and was the recipient of the Dorothy Day Award for Pro Bono service. During her time at Villanova, Nicole served as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Catholic Social Thought. Nicole also worked as a certified student attorney in the Villanova Clinic for Refugee and Emigrant Services (C.A.R.E.S.), where she successfully obtained political asylum for a refugee family under persecution. Also during law school, Nicole served as an extern for the Honorable Albert John Snite, Jr. in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and was chosen by the Judicial Council of the National Bar Association to serve a one-year federal externship with the Honorable Petrese B. Tucker in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Nicole also participated in the Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law “Lawyering Together” program, where, as a student-attorney, she assisted with the defense of a high-profile federal RICO action.
Prior to joining Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg LLC, Nicole worked for a large international defense firm in Philadelphia, where she handled cases in the areas of products liability, toxic tort, environmental law, premises liability, disability insurance and ERISA. Nicole was involved in all aspects of discovery and trial preparation and frequently prepared state and federal dispositive motions in cases alleging product defect, breach of warranty and claims of exposure to asbestos. In the field of asbestos litigation, Nicole has represented numerous companies in state and federal courts throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, including equipment and component part manufacturers, as well as railroad and aviation companies in cases involving FELA claims and governmental contractor issues. Additionally, Nicole drafted a successful Petition for Allocatur to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in a case involving the “any exposure” theory in asbestos litigation, where the Supreme Court recently reaffirmed the holding of the trial court and entry of summary judgment in favor of the defendants.
Nicole also prepared appellate briefs to the Pennsylvania Superior Court and United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and was successful in obtaining the dismissal of a large biomedical client in a high-profile case involving allegations of genetic defect. She also assisted in the successful defense of a two-week catastrophic injury products liability trial, in the New Jersey Superior Court.
Nicole is fluent in Spanish and conversant in French. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends and playing tennis.
Anjli Garg currently serves as Director, Associate General Counsel in the legal department of Citibank, N.A., where she counsels the global B2B card payments business, working with Citi’s largest global institutional clients. She is part of Citi Legal’s Global Diversity Council and Vice Chair of the ABA SIL Wellness Taskforce. Before joining Citibank, she served as V.P. and Senior Counsel in the General Counsel's Office of American Express, supporting the global commercial card and interactive businesses. In her in-house roles, she practices in a variety of legal disciplines, including privacy and data security, internet/e-commerce, intellectual property, bank regulatory, securities and bankruptcy. Before moving in-house, she was an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell, engaged primarily in securities and project finance transactions. Anjli has also spoken at conferences and published articles on privacy and data security. She has 20 years of experience as a corporate transactional attorney, and obtained her J.D. from NYU School of Law. Anjli is also an Energy Leadership Index – Master Practitioner, and in the process of becoming a Certified Professional Coach through iPEC, which is an ICF accredited coach training program.
